Art, ritual, and the architectural uncanny: Victoria Manning and Alison McNulty in conversation with Colin Beattie
Join artists Victoria Manning and Alison McNulty for an illustrated conversation exploring the intersections of art, architecture, ritual, and the uncanny. Each artist will begin by sharing images from their work and related projects before joining moderator Colin Beattie for a discussion about how buildings, landscapes, and constructed spaces can evoke memory, mystery, and imagination.
Blending artist presentations with an engaging conversation, this program invites audiences to consider the emotional and symbolic dimensions of architecture through the lens of contemporary artistic practice. Audience questions and participation are encouraged.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
