Behind the Scenes at the P.S. 6 Center for Film and Television: An Adaptive Reuse Tour

Sunday October 25, 2026 · 4:00 PM · P.S. 6 Center for Film and Television

Go behind the scenes of the P.S. 6 Center for Film and Television, an ambitious adaptive reuse project transforming Newburgh's historic P.S. 6 schoolhouse into a new home for the region's growing film and television industry.

Built in 1891 and designed by noted Newburgh architect Frank E. Estabrook, the former elementary school served generations of students before closing in 1980. After sitting vacant for more than four decades, the building has been thoughtfully restored while preserving many of its original architectural details.

Join this guided tour to explore the rehabilitation of one of Newburgh's most significant historic buildings and learn how its next chapter is supporting the city's creative economy.
