Spearheaded by a grassroots community coalition, Save the Ferry is advocating for the reinstatement and expansion of the 220+ year ferry that abruptly closed by the MTA.

This weekend pilot program serves to demonstrate the demand and value of having a ferry service that unites the two cities, stimulates further tourism, and encourages people to use alternative modes of transportation.

The Save the Ferry Pilot Program shares Archtober Newburgh’s vision of a more connected, sustainable, and vibrant community. By bringing people together across the Hudson, we’re celebrating the role of transportation in uniting communities and increasing access to resources
