Café Confusion serves dishes that don't fit any one culture "authentically" — but are authentically American in their mixture. Co-owners Hester and Ahad bring their own mix to the table: Dutch, Bangladeshi, and Indian influences, shaped by their experience living and eating in the United States, where they met and built a life together. This pop-up at Archtober Newburgh, hosted at ADS Warehouse, is their first hello to Newburgh. Behind the scenes, the pair are restoring a historic mixed-use building at 45 South Lander in the East End Historic District, where they'll open their permanent café and coffee shop in 2027.
